Dalit mobs attack Brahmin community’s Parshuram Yatra procession

Palanpur: Parshuram Yatra that started from Jhunjhnu in Rajasthan was attacked by Dalit mobs in Dhanera town of Banakantha district in North Gujarat.
The yatra is organized by Brahm Parshuram Akhara of Rajasthan. It is going to cover 1,11,111 km route.
The yatra was attacked by Dalit mobs in Jawahar chawk area of Dhanera with stones in connection with nationwide Bharat bandh call given by Dalit organizations.
The yatra is seen as Brahmin community’s pogramme.
Some people participating in yatra were injured due to stone pelting by Dalit mobs.
In related incident an ambulance carrying a pregnant lady was stopped by Dalit mobs on way to Dhanera. The woman patient was from Duva village of Dhanera taluka. Ambulance was on way to hospital in Dahenra but it was stopped by Dalit mobs on main road. A pregnant lady was brought to Dhanera through alternative route.
