Surat: Inauguration of cable stayed bridge in Surat may delay further beyond the target date of 15th of August this year.

City Mayor had asked bridge department to make the bridge ready by August 15th. However due to continuous rain, completion date may delay further.

The works that are yet to be completed include street lights, fine tuning of cable, approach surface laying and load testing.

These tasks are such that they may take at least 15 to 25 days time. Some of these works can’t be executed due to raining.

It is believed therefore that the bridge inauguration may take place only in the month of September.
