NID terminates faculty alleged of sexual harassment of students

Ahmedabad: The National Institute of Design (NID) here has terminated the services of its faculty Krishnesh Mehta after completion of inquiry of allegations of sexual harassment against him by a group of students.
Director of the prestigious institute situated in Paldi area here, Pradyumna Vyas confirmed it.
Notably around two months ago a group of students had alleged him of behaving in a manner which amounted to sexual harassment. The inquiry committee constituted for it found substance in the allegations after which he has been terminated from service.
NID was established in 1961, and has been a centre for design education, practice and research since then.
