Ambaji: Nita Ambani, wife of Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) chairman and billionaire Industrialist Mukesh Ambani, chairperson and founder of the Reliance Foundation and a non-executive director of Reliance Ltd today visited famous Ambaji temple in North Gujarat to perform special puja and place daughter Isha Ambani’s wedding invitation before the mother goddess Ma Amba.

Ambani family is among major donors to Ambaji Temple Trust. Ambaji temple was decorated with flowers on Ambani’s arrival. Smt Nita Ambani was joined by her mother-in-law Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani and mother Purnima Dalal.

Media coordinator of the Shri Arasuri Ambaji Mata Devasthan Trust (SAAMDT), the body that looks after the management of the temple, one of the 51 shaktipeeths (divine power-centres) of mother goddess where her heart is believed to have fallen according to Hindu belief, Ashish Rawal today said that Nita Ambani reached Danta by air in helicopter and reached Ambaji by road.

Ambanis performed puja and placed the card before mother goddess.

The marriage of Isha with Anand Piramal is slated for December 12. They were engaged in May this year.

The marriage card (Kankotri in Gujarat) is said to be a highly costly one with gold work in it.

Ambani family has visited various temples to place the invitation before the marriage. The first such card was reportedly offered to the famous Siddhi Vinayak temple in Mumbai last month. They have also visited Tirupati and Kedarnath temples among others.

Earlier, Isha’s brother Anant Ambani and his would be fiancee Radhika Merchant had visited Dwarka temple in Gujarat to present Isha’s wedding invitation to Lord Krishna.

Ambani and Piramal families have known each other for over four decades. Ajay Piramal, father of Anand is the chairman of the Piramal Group of companies, which is in to the businesses ranging from pharmaceuticals to financial services.

Isha’s her twin brother Akash Ambani got engaged to Shloka Mehta, the daughter of diamond magnate Russel Mehta, before her engagement.
