Gujarat Chief Minister clears 7 more TPs, including 5 for Ahmedabad

Gandhinagar: Continuing his trend of clearing over 100 Town Planning Schemes (TPs) for rapid and vertical development in urban areas of the state in year 2018, in the beginning of new year 2019 Gujarat Chief Minister Vijaybhai Rupani today sanctioned as many as seven new TPs, including five in Ahmedabad, in Gujarat.
Since his heading of the Urban Development Department, the Chief Minister has cleared 43 draft town planning schemes for Ahmedabadin last 12 months. As a result of clearing of these TPs, over 3000 hectares of lands will have planned urban developments.
The five TPs schemes cleared for Ahmedabad city are: 454 (Hanshpura), 505 (Kathwada), 243 (Ranasan-Muthiya-Chiloda), 416/A Vastral and 117 (Kathwada). These five TPs would make planned developments over 750 hectares of lands. It is estimated that approximately developmental works worth of Rs. 1,000-crore would be made on these five TPs.
Beside these five TPs, Mr. Rupani had cleared one preliminary and one final TP for Rajkot city. These TPs are: 20 (Nana Mava) and 10 (Nana Mava).
The Chief Minister has also given instructions to the authorities for prompt implementation of infrastructural facilities in these TPs and also given directives to the town planning officers to finalize these TPs at the earliest. He has also ordered appointment of as many as six new planning officers for Ahmedabad city.
