Jawahar Chavda issues video statement claiming his remark in local flavoured dialect was misunderstood

Junagadh/Gandhinagar: Gujarat Minister Jawahar Chavda, who had resigned from Congress and Manawadar seat recently to join ruling BJP, today claimed that he had not used any indecent language against journalists during his speech in a felicitation event.
In a video message issued today Chavda said that it was in fact Talpadu (local dialectic language) that he used in his speech and its meaning should not be twisted.
He said that he delivered 20 minute long speech and one should not focus on the 3 to 4 seconds during which he uttered the Talpadu expression.
Notably, Chavda had after switching from Congress to BJP had said that he had no problem with Congress and he has switched over to BJP as many people go from one restaurant to the other for having a different dining experience.
In the felicitation event he said that journos asked him and still ask why he left Congress and joined BJP. What was the problem. ‘I told them that your father (himself) had not problem at all (Me Kidhu ke Vandho to tara Baapne Aaya Hato Ja Nathi),’ he said.
Journalist across the state have taken strong exception to his language and asked him to tender apology to the media. In response to it Chavda has released the video message.
