Election campaign: Solanki rides bi-cycle with mayor, Poonamben chooses bullock cart for road-show

Ahmedabad:In the election season at least two of the BJP candidates in Gujarat, today chose somewhat unusual way of campaigning.
Sitting MP from Ahmedabad West (SC ) and party candidate Kirit Solanki chose to ride bicycle during his road-show in Vasana and Paldi area. He was also accompanied by other party leaders including woman mayor Bijalben Patel and Ellis bridge MLA Dr Rakesh Shah who were also riding bicycle with him.
The BJP leaders also used other vehicles during the campaigning.
Speaking to media persons Solanki claimed that in the last election there was only Modi wave but this time it was a tsunami. ‘I humbly claim that BJP would win more than 350 seats across the country alongwith all the 26 seats in Gujarat,’ he said.
Another sitting MP and party candidate on Jamnagar seat Poonamben Madam chose to ride a bullock-cart for her road show in Kharedi and nearby villages in Kalawad locality. Local MLA and state minister R C Faldu was also present on the cart. Faldu claimed that the margin of victory of Madam would become more than double this time around.
