Leading Gujarati NRI philanthropist Rizwan Adatia reportedly abducted in Maputo, Mozambique

Porbandar: Founder of Rizwan Adatia Foundation and philanthropist, Rizwan Adatia is latest victim of abduction crimes in Maputo province of African nation Mozambique.
Adatia’s car has been found in abandoned condition near Matola. It is believed his car was stopped by abductors when he was on way from market to home at around 11.00 pm and he was forcibly taken away. Adatia was alone in his car and he was self driving it, due to social distancing amid coronavirus crisis, it is learnt.
Adatia is the Chairman of COGEF group which spans across 11 countries. His group employees 3500 people. Adatia is from Porbandar town of Saurashtra region in Gujarat.
Admirer of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Ismaili Khoja, Adatia has adopted Maliya Hatina village in Gujarat. His foundation runs number of activities particularly in Saurasthra region of the State.
