228-bed Covid facility at UN Mehta Heart Hospital’s new building ready to admit patients: Nitin

Ahmedabad: Four floors of newly constructed building of UN Mehta Heart Hospital can be used for Covid-19 patients, said Health minister Nitin Patel today to media persons in a briefing.
Patel was on visit to the building in Ahmedabad which is partially ready. The building is located next to Aswarwa civil hospital.
Nitin Patel said, ‘two floor of this yet to be opened newly constructed children’s heart hospital are ready with 228 beds where Covid patients can be admitted any day. Oxygen points are ready for all beds with pipeline connectivity. Furniture, beds, doctors, nursing staff, para-medical staff is also ready. Other two floors are to be ready in a week as per the contractor. Therefore the facility is scalable.’
