Gandhinagar: Bootleggers belonging to Fracture gang of Ahmedabad attacked police men in Local Crime Branch (LCB) office in Modasa. Police had nabbed four accused bootleggers with vehicles and liquor bottles. While injured cop has been taken for medical care, the bootleggers who attacked on him with sharp glass of broken bottle are booked under the charge of attempt to murder.
– DGP of Gujarat Police suspends Police Inspector AB Gohil and Sub Inspector HG Gohil of Gotri Police Station in Vadodara after recovery of Rs. 4.77 lakh liquor in a raid conducted by State Monitoring Cell.
– Karjan is one of 8 poll-bound assembly seats in Gujarat where by-polls are scheduled to take place on 3rd November. Ahead of the by-poll, today Karjan town Congress party president Ashoksinh Rana has announced his resignation from party. Rana has sent his resignation to State Congress party chief Amit Chavda.

– Ro-Pax service connecting Hazira (Surat in South Gujarat) to Ghogha (Bhavnagar in Saurashtra) will start soon, said Union Shipping minister Mansukh Mandaviya in a tweet after visiting the site of the project in Hazira.
