Gujarat govt approves Surat City Development Plan 2035

Gandhinagar: The Government of Gujarat today said it has approved a Development Plan 2035 for Surat city covering Surat Municipal Corporation (SMC) and Surat Urban Development Authority (SUDA) area spread across 1085 square km. The land plots that were put under reservation for last 30 years have been released. 850 hectares of land will be available for construction and development.
High density residential and commercial development will be possible in 1-km stretch covering 50 sq km area between Kamrej and Palsana on the both sides of Ahmedabad – Mumbai national highway. This will pave a way for high density residential and commercial development around proposed Antroli station of Ahmedabad – Mumbai bullet train route.
Kamrej – Palsana corridor, Antroli high speed corridor have been given final approval to facilitate bullet train, metro rail and transport facilities. DeshGujarat
