Gujarat govt suspends Dy Superintendent Engineer over non-repaired road

Gandhinagar: The Government of Gujarat today announced suspension of deputy superitendent engineer smt Darshanaben Goswami over poor condition of highway. The government in a note informed that the decision has been taken by deputy chief minister Nitin Patel who is also minister of roads and building department.
According to a note, Patel had instructed to repair all roads damaged during monsoon before Diwali. However Anjar MLA and minister Vasan Ahir led Patel’s attention that Kotda Chakar – Kukma road in Bhuj taluka was still in very poor condition and not repaired. As Dy Superitendent Engineer Darshna Goswami was found responsible for lethargy in this connection, she has been suspended. Chief Engineer, Superitendent Engineer and Executive Engineers have been served show cause notice. DeshGujarat
