21 Bihar children arrive in Ahmedabad for free heart treatment at Sri Sathya Sai Heart Hospital

New Delhi: Under the ‘Bal Hruday Yojana’ initiated by Bihar Chief Minister Shri Nitish Kumar, 21 pediatric cardiac patients and their attendants along with Bihar government officers arrived at Satya Sai Heart Hospital. Advocate General, Gujarat Shri Kamal Trivedi along with the trustees Shri Manoj Bhimani and Shri K.B. Zaveri were present at the airport to welcome these children.
The Advocate General said it’s a very special occasion as this is the first time that such large number of beneficiaries (21 patients and their attendants ) have come to Ahmedabad under the programme.
Sri Sathya Sai Heart Hospital Rajkot popularly known as “Dill without Bill” is run by Prashanti Medical Services and Research Foundation, a charitable organization dedicated to serve the poor and needy citizens of society for the last 21 years by conducting all types of most expensive cardiac surgeries for totally free of cost.
India’s largest pediatric charitable cardiac hospital run by the organization in Ahmedabad has facilities such as four class 100 operation theaters, two Cath Labs, pre and Post OT Wards, ICU and ICCU, Multipurpose prayer hall/Temple/OPD, presidential quarters for Doctors and Paramedical staff, Dining hall/ stores/utility rooms etc., infrastructure to conduct minimum 5000 cardiac procedures per year, X Ray/Lab/ECG and other related medical equipment.
The organization has signed MOU’s with the Governments of Odisha, Rajasthan , Madhya Pradesh and Bihar to operate 1,000 pediatric cardiac patients from these respective states. The organization has conducted more than 1700 cardiac procedures since inception from November 2018.
In fact many children from the economically weaker sections of society do not get proper medical attention and hence they suffer mainly due their financial condition. With prime focus on Cardiac Ailments covering children , each precious life receives the most appropriate combination of love and care which is the need of the hour. Hence the hospital has taken up this herculean task for giving these children a new lease of life.
