Vadodara Police nabs two for black-marketing of Remdesivir

Vadodara: Prevention of Crime Branch (PCB), Vadodara city Police has nabbed two persons today for alleged black-marketing of Remdesivir injections in the city. One of the accused is ayurvedic doctor and the other is male nurse. They sold Remdesivir injections for Rs 7500 to Rs 9000 price against prescribed price of Rs. 4500 per injection, Police said.
Accused Dhiren Dalsukh Nagora, ayurvedic doctor, resides at Warasiya Ringroad area and runs a store near Waghodia ring-road in the city, as informed by PCB. After collecting information through an audio clip and a number, PCB traced him and arranged trap, informed PCB in the press conference. The other accused nabbed from Panigate Area named Rahul Pravin Valand is resident of Balasinor and works as a male nurse in a Muslim Hospital. He too was nabbed in a trap arranged by police.
The accused are booked by different police-stations in the city under IPC Section 406 & 420, articles under Epidemic Act and Drugs and Cosmetics Act.
Police Commissioner of Vadodara city Dr Samsher Singh had instructed the PCB to take necessary actions against Black-marketing of Remdesivir injections. Remdesivir injections are used for Covid-19 patients. DeshGujarat
