Surat: A husband killed his wife by strangling her neck during Azan sound from loudspeakers from near by mosque in Amroli Kosad Avas in Surat, in order to cover her screaming.

A man named Gulabkhan Babukhan Pathan (age 45 years) working as looms technician in Anjali Industries had doubts on the character of his wife Najmabi Pathan and often had conflicts with her regarding the same. He decided to kill his wife at the time of Azan amidst the sound of the speaker from nearby mosque so that nothing can be audible to others. Accused had shut the door from outside of the room in which his children were sleeping and strangled his asleep wife’s neck. The killer had presented himself in the Amroli police station and confessed about the murder by himself.

Killer’s son Arbazkhan Gulabkhan Pathan (Age 22 years) had filed a complaint against his father for his mother’s murder in Amroli Police station. The dead body of the woman was sent for the post-mortem report and crime of murder is filed against the killer. DeshGujarat
