CM Designate Bhupendra Patel offers Sashtang pranam to his spiritual Guru
September 13, 2021
Gandhinagar: Soon after he was elected as leader of BJP legislative party in Gujarat, Chief Minister Designate Bhupendra Patel reached his spiritual guru Aptputra Deepakbhai Desai in Adalaj on Ahmedabad – Gandhinagar highway. Deepakbhai Desai in recent years succeeded Niruma to head Dada Bhagwan sect known for its Simandhar mandirs. Bhupendra Patel is follower of this sect and he is fondly called ‘Dada’ by his colleagues and friends. Patel did shashtang dandwat pranam to Deepakbhai Desai, seeking his blessing. Patel also visited Jagannath Mandir, Sai Mandir and Swaminarayan Mandir in Ahmedabad to seek blessings ahead of his swearing in as Chief Minister of Gujarat today.
Yesterday, our lenseman clicked Bhupendra Patel’s pictures at Gujarat BJP headquarters Kamalam. One photo shows a bracelet on wrist of Bhupendra Patel with a name ‘Niruma’. Late Niruma was heading Dada Bhagwan Pariwar before Deepakbhai Desai. Her spiritual talks on Gujarati regional TV channels were very popular in India and also outside among NRI Gujaratis. DeshGujarat
