Dr. Nimaben Acharya resigns, the post of Speaker of Gujarat Assembly vacant now

Gandhinagar: Kutch BJP MLA Dr. Nimaben Acharya has resigned as Speaker of Gujarat Assembly with effect from September 20th today. The office of the Speaker in the assembly has been declared vacant therefore.
Nimaben was appointed protem Speaker after resignation of Rajendra Trivedi from the post of Speaker. Trivedi later took oath as the senior most minister in Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel government.
A two-day session of Gujarat Assembly is scheduled to meet in the last week of this month. It is certain that Gujarat will get a new Speaker of the Assembly. DeshGujarat
