‘For sale’ banners over Mandir and Hindu houses as they demand effective implementation of Disturbed Area Act

Bharuch: The local Hindus in Hajikhana area of central Gujarat town Bharuch protested the poor implementation of the Disturbed Area Act. They staged protest by putting up the banners titling ‘for sale’ at Hindu owned houses and at a mandir in this locality.

The administration has covered this area under the Disturbed Area Act and it is among 40 areas of the city where implementation of this act is effective for 5 years period since May 2019.

The Hindu residents of Hajikhana area are protesting as their houses are being sold to Muslims despite the Disturbed Area Act in force.

The residents are demanding strict implementation of this act in the area.

A resident said that the local leaders are well aware about these issues but the implementation is effective, despite repeated written and oral appeals and representations. DeshGujarat
