Two workers die, several injured in fire and blast incident at GFL plant in Panchmahal

Godhra: Two workers are dead in a massive fire that broke out at Gujarat Fluorochemicals Limited (GFL) company’s Ranjitnagar plant in Ghoghamba taluka of Panchmahal district. Many workers are injured in this incident.
Fire fighters from Halol, Kalol, Godhra and nearby private companies reached at the spot to combat the fire which broke out with a massive blast that was audible in 10 km radius.
The teams are allowed entries with safety kits in the campus. A fire broke out in the MPI-1 plant of GFL company in the morning. The injured persons are taken to the private hospital and referral hospital in Halol. The DSP of Panchmahal district, collector, and Halol SDM had arrived at the place.
Vehicle transportation and movements of the general public was prohibited in the area in 5 kms radius. The roads linking Ranjit Nagar are blocked for safety.
