Six arrested in Gaun Seva Pasandagi Mandal recruitment exam paper leak case

Gandhinagar: Six persons are arrested in head-clerk recruitment exam paper leak row in Gujarat. Gujarat Gaun Seva Pasandagi Mandal had organized recruitment exam for 186 vacant posts of head-clerk. Today, the minister of state for Home (MoS Home), Harsh Sanghavi in a media briefing said total six persons are arrested in this case which is filed by Prantij Police Station in North Gujarat under IPC sections 406, 409, 420 and 120. As many as 88,000 applicants were part of recruitment process for vacancies. The decision on whether to cancel the exam or not will be taken by GSSSB, said MoS Home Harsh Sanghavi.
Meanwhile a recruitment exam activist Yuvrajsinh Jadeja has threatened agitation if GSSSB head Asit Vora is not removed while investigation is underway in paper leak case. During the term of Vora, an infamous head of GSSSB, a political appointee on this post, paper leak controversies have taken place for more than once. Vora is BJP leader and former Mayor of Ahmedabad. He had initially denied to have any information about paper leak. However State Police under directive of Minister of State for Home had started investigation and exercise to nab those involved.
MoS Harsh Sanghavi said primary investigation has found involvement of 10 persons in this case. Out of them six are arrested. It is learnt that six persons nabbed are Mahesh Kamleshbhai Patel from Ahmedabad, Chintan Pravinbhai Patel from Prantij, Dhruv Bharatbhai Barot from Berna, Darshan Kiritbhai Vyas and Suresh Patel, and Kuldip Nalinbhai Patel from Himmatnagar.
