Cold wave in Gujarat

Sabarmati: According to the India Meteorological Department(IMD) forecast, the cold wave would continue be felt for next two days in several parts of Gujarat including Rajkot, Porbandar, Junagadh, Kutch, Banaskantha and Gandhinagar with chilly winds with temperature drop.
IMD bulletin stated: On Friday, night temperatures rose appreciably to markedly in parts of Saurashtra. There was no large change over Gujarat region, Kutch and in remaining parts of Saurashtra. They were below normal to appreciably below normal in parts of Saurashtra-Kutch; below normal in parts of North Gujarat region, normal over South Gujarat region and in remaining parts of North Gujarat region, Saurashtra-Kutch. 03º C was the lowest minimum temperature in the region recorded at Naliya.
IMD said, on Saturday cold wave conditions are very likely to continue to prevail at isolated pockets in Kutch district with moderate temperature. Chilly winds may aggravate cold at time.

IMD said cold will be at tolerable levels but the vulnerable people including infants, pregnant women, elderly and those with chronic diseases have been advised to be careful and avoid prolonged exposure.
