IMD releases wind forecast for Kite flying festival Uttarayan in Gujarat

Gandhinagar: Central government’s weather department is out with its regular weather bulletin ahead of kite flying festival Uttarayan in Gujarat.
As per IMD, ”Generally Northeasterly wind with speed 10-15 kmph is very likely to prevail at lower levels during Uttarayan festival.”
The IMD bulletin added that Cold day conditions are very likely to continue to prevail at isolated pockets in the districts of North Gujarat region namely Banaskantha, Sabarkantha, Ahmedabad, Gandhinagar, Patan and Mehsana ; in Kutch district of Saurashtra during 24 hours period starting from 8.30 am on Uttarayan to 8.30 am of Vasi Uttarayan(15th January).DeshGujarat
