Theft of 56 kg silver items at Limbdi palace

Limbdi: Theft of 56 kg of silver occurred in Digbhuvan palace at Limbdi in Surendranagar.
The thieves stole 61 years old 45 antic items of silver weighing 56 kg by entering the palace by breaking the iron grills in the windows. The police have started investigation with dog squad after the complaint was filed.
The items were given as kariyavar to the mother of Jaydipsinhji Bapu (Rajmata) by her father in 1960. The stolen items include 1 flower vase, 1 lattice, a large silver tray (weight 2kg), glasses 6 large and 1 small (weight 5 kg), 5 bowls (weight 1 kg), 4 coffee sets (weight 3 kg), 4 legs of bed, tray with artistic work (weight 2 kg), saucer (700 gm), silver 12 spoons (weight 600 grams), silver aarti (1 kg), and clog of Jasvantsinhji Bapu.
