Ahmedabad: The first 3D concrete Printed Permanent Married Accommodation of Defence Services is inaugurated at Vayu Shakti Nagar, Headquarter South Western Air Command (SWAC) on 13 March 2022.

The structure consists of 85 reinforced 3D concrete modules of zone III earthquake specifications. The structure is lighter than RCC and uses aspirational specifications to make it a functional optimal green building with the least carbon foot print. The building is conceptualized by HQ SWAC and Chief Engineer, Military Engineering service, Gandhinagar Zone.

The 3D accommodation was inaugurated by Air Marshal Vikram Singh AVSM VSM, Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief, SWAC, IAF, in the presence of Lieutenant General Harpal Singh PVSM, AVSM, VSM, ADC, Engineer-in-Chief, and Air Marshal K Anantharaman VSM, Air Office-in-Charge Administration, Air Headquarters. DeshGujarat
