Surat Police nabs Sajid Ghulam Mohammad alias Sajju Kothari from a secret bunker in his house

Surat: City Police Crime Branch has nabbed a notorious criminal Sajid Ghulam Mohammad Kothari alias Sajju Kothari from a bunker in his Jamrukh Gali residence in Nanpura area of city. Over 40 police men were part of the operation to nab Sajju Kothari who had been booked twice under stringent GUJCTOC law.
The operation was led by ACP Sarvaiya with the help of three police inspector, 7 police sub inspectors. The house where Sajid was hiding was ground plus five storey tall. It was locked from outside. It has steel spikes attached to its walls. The Police team arranged a ladder and reached first floor. Police team broke the glass of a window and entered inside. It then opened the door from inside. After scanning the entire building repeatedly for over five times, the police team when knocked a furniture wall, heard different sound and concluded that there was a hollow portion inside. When applied force, police found a path behind the showcase to a secret bunker from which, Sajid was nabbed.
Sajid Ghulam Mohammad had clashed with the police and escaped. His arrest had become a prestigious issue for city police. Sajid was operating a gang which was into crimes such as kidnapping, extortion, loot among others. DeshGujarat
