Kanaiyalal Rana, the latest victim of communal violence in Gujarat

Khambhat: 60-year old Kanaiyalal Rana is the latest victim of communal violence in Gujarat. Kanaiyabhai was participating in Hindu procession held on the occasion of Ram Navami, the birth anniversary of Hindu God Shri Rama. A 60-year old religious person was according to locals, was dragged to the street by a violent group when the procession was passing through Muslim populated area namely Shakkarpura. Rana was hit by stones. He was first taken to local medical facility for medical treatment and later moved to Petlad for further treatment. He was declared dead last evening.
