Gandhinagar: While addressing the Global Ayush Investment & Investment Summit at Mahatma Mandir here, Prime Minister Narendrabhai Modi spoke about how Rosemary, a daughter of African leader Raila Odinga regained vision through Ayurvedic treatment in India.
The PM said: A few days ago, Rosemary’s father Raila Odinga, former Prime Minister of Kenya, who is very good friend of mine had come to meet me in Delhi. It was a Sunday and we had met after a long time. He told me about a major problem his daughter Rosemary was suffering with. He said that Rosemary had underwent surgery due to tumor in brain and she had lost her vision after this surgery.
The PM further said: you can imagine at this stage of life if vision is lost then what happens. And as a father Mr. Odinga explored possibilities of her treatment across the world. Mr. Odinga is former PM and an able man. He explored possibilities. But Rosemary didn’t get vision. Lastly the success was achieved in India after Ayurved treatment. And Rosemary regained her vision. She can see the things today. When she saw her children with regained vision, she was too happy. Rosemary has come here with her sister who teaches about traditional medicines. She will share her experience tomorrow.
