Peon recruitment at Rajkot District Co-op Bank challenged in High Court
June 15, 2022
Rajkot: The BJP opening up a front against the BJP in the case of irregularities in recruitment at the Rajkot District Co-operative Bank and filing of a petition in the high court in this matter has come as a shock to many. The high court has issued notices to the Registrar Co-operation, NABARD and the bank while scheduling a hearing for July 5.
The petition filed against irregularities in hiring 900 peons at the Rajkot District Co-operative Bank alleges that bank authorities have misused their powers during the recruitment process. These recruitments have been done in violation of all established rules. The petition further states that those hired as peons have also been promoted to positions of clerks and managers after a certain period. The filing of the petition is the last resort after earlier pleas to the government to take appropriate action in the matter after due investigation has fallen on deaf ears.
One among the four who have filed the petition, Nitin Dhankecha has said that they had informed the government by writing a letter with regards to this matter. They had also brought this to the notice of the state unit of the BJP. We also brought this recruitment scam to the notice of prominent leaders but no action was taken. Finally, they decided to knock on the doors of the high court.
Another petitioner, Hardevsinh Jadeja also claims irregularities by the bank in recruitment. People hired on temporary positions have been made permanent and have even been promoted. They have sought resolution of all issues they have raised in the petition from the court. DeshGujarat
