Khodaldham Trust Chairman Naresh Patel postpones his decision to join politics

Rajkot: Saurashtra based businessman Naresh Patel, Chairman of Khodaldham Trust, has after months of confusion and dilemma today made announcement to postpone his decision to enter the politics. Patel said the survey conducted by Trust had divided opinion on whether he should join politics or not. He said while the youths and the women opined he should join politics, the elders were of opinion that he should not join politics. Patel said, the elders believed that if he joins one particular political party, then the functioning of Khodaldham Trust will affect. Patel kept his options open for future and said the circumstances will decide the future course. He also announced to set up a political academy in Amreli village near Rajkot for the youths. Patel also denied possibilities of his son joining politics. Patel said this decision was his only and he was under no pressure while making his mind. Patel refused to go into the details of his meetings with Congress president Sonia Gandhi and other political leaders. When asked about his role in upcoming State assembly polls this year, Patel said he would help good Patidar community and other candidates if he is approached for the same. Meanwhile when asked by media persons in a press conference in North Gujarat today, the State BJP chief CR Patil in his reply welcomed Naresh Patel’s decision. DeshGujarat
