Vadodara: It was like dead man came alive scene for a family in the city. An unidentified man was wrongly recognized and was cremated by his acclaimed relatives. Shockingly for the relatives, the actual man returned home later to his family healthy and alive and left them awestruck.

On the 16th of June, the police found the body of an unidentified man near the pillar of service road on the National Highway heading towards GSFC from Dumad Chokdi. There were no signs of injuries on his body. The police sent the corpse of the man to Sayaji hospital for Post Mortem. The police had also spread the photos of the unidentified man on social media for his identification.

Meanwhile, a Shanabhai Solanki, a resident of Someshwarpura village of Waghodia contacted the police authorities. He claimed to be the father of the unidentified man, who was his son Sanjay, aged 45 years. The police handed over the body to the father and other relatives of the deceased after checking the Aadhaar card. The family members cremated the dead body. But, the Sanjay whom the family members cremated, returned to his home at night and shocked everyone. They immediately contacted the Chhani police. The police also rushed to them hearing this news.

The police immediately contacted the doctor at Sayaji Hospital and revealed the whole incident. And the one who was cremated as Sanjay was corrected as an unidentified dead body in the record books.

The swelling of the dead body made the father wrongly identify it as his son.

Shanabhai Solanki’s son Sanjay was a driver. According to police sources, Sanjay often used to run away from his home. He had left his home for the last three or four months.

A month ago, Sanjay and his father met each other near Dumad Chokdi. Both father-son took a drive to Manjusar. At that moment, Sanjay was in torn clothes so his father got him two pairs of clothes.

When Shanabhai found out about the anonymous dead body, he went to the hospital with other members of the family to verify him. The dead body was swollen. They assumed the body to be of their son based on the clothes he was wearing. And this is how they made a disastrously huge mistake in recognizing the dead body. DeshGujarat
