ACB Gujarat nabs Deputy Sarpanch, Deputy Mamlatdar and Clerk in bribe cases

Gandhinagar: Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) of Gujarat has nabbed Deputy Sarpanch, a clerk and Deputy Mamlatdar in two differene cases of bribe taking.
Amit Patel, deputy sarpanch of Solsumba gram panchayat in Umargam in district Valsad and his middleman clerk Krushang Chandarana are held in bribe case involving the sum of Rs. 3 lakh.
A complainant was seeking permission letter for construction of residence and commercial nature on his non agriculture land for which Rs. 15 lakh bribe was sought which after barganining came down to Rs. 12 lakh. ACB trapped accused when first installment of Rs. 3 lakh was accepted by accused.
In another incident, ACB nabbed Girish Pandya, deputy mamlatdar( E – dhara ) who works in Mansa mamlatdar office in Gandhinagar district. The accused had demanded Rs. 50,000 bribe for varsai entry in the case of a land in Lakroda village. The accused was trapped when he receied Rs. 10,000 installment of bribe.
