Surat: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) today released its another list of candidates in which former Patidar quota stir leaders are given tickets. Alpesh Kathiria who played a key role in the 27-seat victory of AAP in the Surat Municipal Corporation (SMC) election in 2015 has been fielded from the Varaccha assembly seat by AAP. Varachha was the highest affected area by the Patidar quota stir and related violence in the years 2015-2016. The area is mainly populated by the Saurashtra-origin Leuva Patidar community people.
