ACB Gujarat nabs policeman in bribe case in Mahuva

Surat: Anti-corruption Bureau (ACB) Gujarat has nabbed assistant police constable of Mahuva police station in Mahuva taluka of Surat in a bribe case involving the sum of Rs 50 thousand.
The complainant’s husband was held at Mahuva police station in a case of prohibition and his four-wheeler car was seized. The accused assistant police constable Budhalal Hemubhai Madhar demanded a bribe of Rs 1,00,000 to release it. The amount was reduced to Rs 50 thousand after an argument.
The complainant contacted ACB as she was not willing to pay the bribe. The accused was found taking a bribe of Rs 50,000 from the complainant during a trap executed by ACB. The accused is detained. DeshGujarat
