Poshi Poonam marked at Santram Mandir with shower of Jujube fruits

Nadiad: A large number of devotees showered jujube fruits (Bor) at Santram mandir in Nadiad on the day of Posh Sud Poonam today, as per a tradition observed there every year on this day.
It is a tradition prevailing among the people to take vows of showering jujube fruits at the Santram Mandir to resolve the issue of their child unable to speak or stuttering. To make the vow and also if the vow is fulfilled and the children become able to speak, then the parents would shower jujube fruits at the Santram mandir. The parents take vows of offering jujube fruits in various amounts. Some parents also take a vow of offering jujube fruits equal to their child’s weight at the mandir. The other devotees take the jujube fruits showered there as prasad.
Nirgun Das Ji Maharaj informed that a devotee had met Santram Maharaj and told him about his child, unable to speak years ago. The child miraculously started speaking due to the blessing of Santram Maharaj. The devotee had jujube fruits in his farm at that time and he showered them in the mandir for vow. The tradition of taking vows of showering jujube fruits started at the mandir after this incident. The mandir witnesses a large number of devotees there on this day every year from across the state.
