January 29, 2023
Gandhinagar: India’s largest student organization, Akhil Bharatiya Vidhyarthi Parishad (ABVP) has in a note stated that the Gujarat government’s system to conduct competitive exams has failed completely. ABVP has demanded that the new date of the exam should be declared in 24 hours and it should be conducted within 20 days. ABVP has also demanded strict actions against those involved in the paper leak through a fast-track court.
ABVP has also demanded that the government should facilitate lodging, boarding, and journey expenses for candidates. ABVP has demanded Special Investigation Team (SIT) and a sedition charge against the accused. ABVP has demanded recruitment of vacant posts in the competitive exams system and government auction of the printing press, coaching classes, and assets owned by the accused.
ABVP state unit secretary Yuti Gajre demanded that bodies that conduct competitive exams should be reorganized with the inclusion of top educationists, academicians, and experienced persons. She questioned the outsourcing of private agencies that may compromise the secrecy required around the conduct of competitive exams.
ABVP has further in its note stated that the failure of Panchayat Seva Pasandagi Mandal has put a question mark on the future of many students. ABVP has organized statewide protests against this failure today. DeshGujarat
