Amdavad: The city witnessed dense fog and poor visibility on Monday resulting in a delay of 106 flights at Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International (SVPI) Airport.  Meanwhile, 15 flights were diverted to nearby airports, the authorities had to cancel 7 flights bound for Lucknow, Bhubaneshwar, Mumbai, Pune and Goa.

The Chaotic scenes were witnessed at the airport as 106 flights were delayed till 4 PM on Monday, that were 42% of the total operational capacity. Of the total flights delayed, some 20 departing flights were delayed by at least three hours whereas 18 flights were delayed between one and three hours. A number of passengers took to social media to vent their frustration.
