BSF apprehends 3 Pakistani fishermen and seizes 1 fishing boat from SIR Creek

Kutch: A patrol party of Border Security Forces apprehended three Pakistani fishermen and seized one Pakistani fishing boat from Sir Creek on Wednesday.

According to an official statement, “The BSF patrol party observed movement on the eastern bank of Sir Creek and immediately rushed to the spot and apprehended the fishermen. The seized boat was thoroughly searched but nothing suspicious was recovered from the boat or its possession.”

During the investigation, the fishermen claimed that they inadvertently entered the Indian side of Sir Creek as the engine of their boat malfunctioned, and due to high tide and heavy wind, the boat drifted towards the Indian side of Sir Creek, said the statement.

The apprehended Pakistani fishermen have been identified as:

i. Sayed Gulam Murtaja, 65 years old, son of Hasan Mohmad Shah, from Vill Baldia Town, Karachi.
ii. Bashir, 60 years old, son of Zavad, from Vill- Maripur Garje Mushapara, Karachi.
iii. Akbar Ali Abdul Gani, 54 years old, son of Abdul Gani, from Vill- Akoi Colony, Bhuta Kemari, Karachi.
