Surat court may give verdict in defamation case against Rahul Gandhi on March 23

Surat: A court in Surat city is expected to make a decision on March 23 regarding the criminal defamation case against the Congress MP Rahul Gandhi, related to his purported comment about the surname “Modi”, said Rahul Gandhi’s lawyer.
The lawyer also said that Rahul Gandhi will be present in court when the verdict is given. The case was filed against Rahul Gandhi based on a complaint from Purnesh Modi, a former Gujarat minister and BJP MLA, regarding his comment that supposedly asked why all the thieves share the surname Modi.
