Gujarat BJP reacts to Rahul Gandhi’s disqualification as Lok Sabha MP

Gandhinagar: Gujarat BJP Vice President Gordhan Zadafia addressed a press conference today at the state BJP headquarters Shree Kamalam, regarding Rahul Gandhi’s conviction and subsequent disqualification from Lok Sabha.
While addressing the media the BJP leader said, “A Surat court convicted Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Thursday, leading to his disqualification as a Member of Parliament from Lok Sabha in accordance with the People’s Representative Act.”
“The issue at hand is the language that Rahul Gandhi used during the election campaign, specifically targeting an OBC caste to the point of hurting their feelings. This is not the first time he has faced defamation cases in various parts of the country,” Zadafia added.
Gordhan Zadafia also stated that it is typical of Congress to badmouth the Prime Minister; previously, they called him “Maut ka Suadagar” and “neech.” This time, they have attacked an entire caste. Now that the judiciary has based its verdict on facts, Congress is creating unrest throughout the country.
Zadafia further went on to say, “The way Congress is creating a ruckus throughout the country after the court’s verdict and using derogatory language against it amounts to contempt of court. First, they speak against the judiciary and then claim to have made some great sacrifices.”
“Rahul Gandhi was given three chances, and both parties presented their arguments based on facts. Congress has some stalwart lawyers, but the way they are behaving suggests that they want a separate IPC (Indian Penal Code) for the Gandhi family. We believe that yesterday’s verdict proves that everyone is equal before the law.” added the BJP leader. DeshGujarat
