Gujarat Assembly nod to five new private universities in the State

Gandhinagar: The Gujarat Private Universities (Amendment) Bill 2023 was tabled and unanimously passed in the state assembly today. This will allow for the addition of five new private universities in the state, bringing the total number of universities in the state to 108.
The five private universities to be added are: Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Global University on the Chimanbhai Patel Institute campus in Ahmedabad, Gyanmanjari Innovative University in Bhavnagar, Sigma University in Vadodara, Rajju Shroff ROFEL University in Vapi, Valsad, and KN University in Sanand, Ahmedabad.
Following the enactment of the Gujarat Private Universities Act 2009, the state legislature during the assembly session grants permission to new private universities in the state. DeshGujarat
