Junagadh: Court in Gujarat today sent Hindu activist Kajal Hindustani to 14-day judicial custody following her arrest on Sunday.

Kajal was arrested by Police for her Ram Navami gathering speech in Una in the Saurashtra region of Gujarat. As the Una court denied bail, Kajal was taken to Junagadh jail.

Una Police had booked Kajal Shingala who is popularly known as Kajal Hindustani after local Muslims objected to remarks made by her in her speech. Kajal had in her speech spoken against land jihad and love jihad. Una town had witnessed communal tension following her remarks, a video of which had gone viral. Later in the meetings of both communities were called by Police and the tension was defused.

Kajal had in her Una speech stated – If our Muslim sisters marry Hindu boys what benefits they shall get? The first benefit to marrying Hindu youths would be that they shall not have to face three other wives, not many children, safety, and respect, no uncle, or father would touch her, no Burkha (veil) in 45-degree temperatures, and freedom to wear whatever you want to wear, would be called daughter and owner of the house, would get matching share in the property, would not be deserted after Talak Talak Talak, no Halala, no contract like Nikah but 7 birth togetherness, children will not become the victim of radicalization, terrorism, etc.
