Gujarat based NFSU opens its first overseas campus in Uganda

Gandhinagar: Minister of External Affairs, Dr S Jaishankar, on Wednesday, inaugurated the Uganda campus of the National Forensic Sciences University (NFSU) in Jinja, which is located near the Ugandan capital of Kampala.
While addressing the Inaugural function Jaishakar said, ” Today is a proud day for Uganda, India, and their relations. We have assembled here to mark a significant milestone in our bilateral cooperation. India’s National Forensic Science University (NFSU) is opening its campus in Uganda in partnership with the Ugandan People’s Defense Forces.
“This is the first foreign campus of NFSU. Even more importantly, it is the first government university of India to open a campus anywhere in the world. As a Member of Parliament from Gujarat, where this university is located, it is particularly pleasing to see this university take the lead in doing so,” Jaishankar added.
The event was attended by Deputy Prime Minister of Uganda, Lukia Isanga Nakadama, General Odongo Jeje, and Dr J.M. Vyas, the Vice-Chancellor of NFSU. DeshGujarat
