Six child labourers rescued from two factories in Jetpur

Jetpur: The Labour and child department, along with other government bodies, rescued six child labourers from two factories in Jetpur during a raid.
The Labour and Child Department received information that several factories in the Dhareshwar area of Jetpur had employed migrant child labourers for sari finishing work. Acting on this information, the Child Labour Department, along with the District Social Safety, Anti-Human Trafficking Unit Rajkot Rural, Childline, Pujit Rupani Trust, Joint Director Industries, and Health Security Team, conducted a joint raid.
During the raid the teams rescued four child labourers from Purvanchal Finishing, owned by Altafhussain Shahbaz Ansari, and two child labourers from Shivam Hand Finishing, owned by Dhaval Savliya. The Labour Department filed a complaint with the Jetpur City Police under the Child Labour Prohibition Act and sent the rescued children to a Bal Ashram in Rajkot. DeshGujarat
