Surat: Cheese and Mayonnaise samples collected by the local civic body’s health department from renowned pizza outlets like Pizza Hut, Dominoes, and La-Pinoz failed. The Surat Municipal Corporation (SMC) has decided to file a complaint before adjudicating officer against the outlets. The health department teams destroyed 40 kg of cheese and mayonnaise from six outlets including Pizza Hut, Dominoes Pizza, and La Pinoz Pizza.

SMC note stated that as per the instruction and guidance of the Deputy Municipal Commissioner (health and hospital) and designated officer and health officer, various cheese and mayonnaise samples were collected during the present month by the food department’s food safety officers. Out of the samples collected, six samples were found not according to the standards. The offenders shall face complaints before adjudicating Officer. 40 ks cheese/mayonnaise from these six outlets is destroyed.

-Saffire Foods India Ltd (Pizza Hut) at Tribhuvan Complex, Ghod Dod Road, Surat

-Dev Hospitality (La-Pinoz Pizza) at Raj Harmony, Ugat Canal Road, Palanpor, Surat

-Prerna Hospitality (KS Charcol) at Ganga House, next to ISKON mall, Piplod, Surat

-Dense Pizza at Valentina Business Hub, LP Savani Road, Adajan, Surat

-Gujju Caffe at Times Galaxy, Jahagirabad, Surat

-Jubilant Food Works Ltd (Dominoes Pizza) at E space on VIP road, Bharthana(Vesu), Surat
