Bharuch gets new bus port built at a cost of Rs. 113 crores

Bharuch: A new Busport, built at a cost of Rs. 113 crores under a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) between Gujarat State Road Transport Corporation and DRA Narmada Busport Pvt. Ltd., was inaugurated by Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel today.
During the inauguration, the Chief Minister made an appeal to the citizens, urging them to fulfil their duty of preserving public property by treating it as their own.
The Chief Minister highlighted that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has successfully brought development to the underprivileged, deprived, and common individuals through a politics of development, which aims to integrate even the most marginalized into the mainstream.
Furthermore, he emphasized that the Prime Minister’s welfare schemes and public welfare decisions consistently prioritize the needs of the poor and the common people.
The Chief Minister also mentioned that Gujarat has become a role model for the nation’s development due to the solid groundwork established by the Prime Minister. He also noted that super specialty hospital services are accessible even in the rural areas of Gujarat.
The Chief Minister provided an example to demonstrate the accelerated progress witnessed in the country over the past nine years under the Modi government. He emphasized that the substantial revenue generated from the Goods and Services Tax (GST) in the month of April serves as evidence that the entire cycle of business and employment industries is operating at a rapid pace nationwide.
Furthermore, the Chief Minister elaborated on the modern advancements introduced in various services, including State Transport (ST) and bus stations, to ensure easy and efficient transportation for the citizens, particularly the common people.
He commended the development of bus stations into airport-like busports, offering advanced facilities. Additionally, he highlighted the transformation of once substandard ST services, which now feature comfortable buses like Volvo.
The Chief Minister expressed the government’s dedication to environmental protection mentioning that 50 e-buses have already been deployed, with plans to introduce 50 more in the future.
CM also emphasized that Gujarat has continued to progress on the path of development, even after the recent devastation caused by Cyclone Biparjoy.
Speaking at the program, Minister of State for Transport and Home, Harsh Sanghvi stated that Bharuch district has received a truly valuable gift as the newly inaugurated bus port, equipped with facilities comparable to an airport, is now accessible to all citizens.
In the state of Gujarat, a total of 15 bus stations have been transformed into modern bus ports. Additionally, the state government has provided approximately 2000 new buses to cater to the transportation needs of the underprivileged, along with an increase of 300 new routes.
The new buses have been equipped with facilities that meet the current requirements. Special attention has been given to improving charging points and ensuring convenience in bus seats. As a result, Bharuch district has witnessed significant growth in employment opportunities.
