Ahmedabad: Dr. Rajul Gajjar, also known as Dr. R.K. Gajjar has been appointed as the new Vice Chancellor of the Gujarat Technological University (GTU). Her term shall be three years long. With this, another woman had become the Vice Chancellor of the University in Ahmedabad. Last month Dr. Neerja Gupta took over as the Vice Chancellor of the Gujarat University. Dr. Rajul Gajjar is presently the Principle of Government run L.D. Engineering college in Ahmedabad. She had been the principal of Vishwakarma Engineering College also in the past. She had been in charge Vice Chancellor of GTU during 1st June to 30th December in year 2016. She was to retire on upcoming 31st October. She is alumnae of LD Engineering college and MS University Vadodara. She has published over 66 research papers, registered 3 patents and authored 4 books. She has over three decades experience in academics. She was a professor in the subject of Applied Mechanics. She has been contributing to the activities of WOSA, IEE, GICEA, ISTE, GUJCOST, Indian Society for Earthquake Science, AMC, IITGN and IIMA among others. DeshGujarat
