Tapi: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLA from Mahuva in South Gujarat, Mohanbhai Dhodiya, has alleged that officers of the district administration in Tapi do not pay any heed to instructions or listen to any communication directed towards them regarding the ongoing unlawful activities in the area.
While speaking to the media, the MLA from the ruling party stated, “I visited the district collector and DSP with a complaint regarding some unlawful activities, seeking action against the culprits. In this case where some individuals broke the rules and installed a statue illegally. I tried to contact the DSP more than three times, but he did not pick up the call.”
He further said – “I informed the collector about the issue, yet he still granted permission for a pooja to be carried out at the location. Unfortunately, I have to say that there is a lack of law and order in Valod taluka. They are not even listening to an elected MLA. I have now presented the case to the Chief Minister and also to the Home Minister, urging them to take action in the matter. There have been illegal constructions and encroachments on government land as well as roads in Valod taluka, but the officers fail to take any action,” he added.
It’s worth noting that previously, ruling MLAs Kumar Kanani and Sanjay Kordiya have also voiced complaints about the negligence of government officers. DeshGujarat
