Water logging upto first floor of bungalows in parts of Ankleshwar
September 18, 2023
Bharuch: With Narmada river waters touching 40 ft level at Golden bridge, way above the 24 ft danger mark, some areas of Ankleshwar are water logged as high as the first floor of the houses.
In the residential societies at Hansot road and Diva road, water logging upto first floor of houses could be seen. The area is low lying and the rise in Narmada river’s level causes trouble here. The video presented here is from Dhanlakshmi society.
It’s worth noting that due to consistent and huge volume of water released from the Sardar Sarovar Narmada dam on 16th and 17th September, the water level at Golden bridge in Bharuch touched 40 ft mark. Water is still being released from Narmada dam to downstream areas where Bharuch and Ankleshwar twi city are located. However the volume of water released from the dam has gone down from around 20 lakh cusecs to over 5 lakh cusecs today. DeshGujarat
