September 18, 2023
Bharuch: Due to the closure of the Narmada Maiya bridge in Bharuch, long queues of vehicles could be seen on National Highway 48 which is the alternate route.
During job-going hours, all vehicles were diverted to National Highway 48 due to the closure of the Narmada Maiya bridge. Around 5 km long traffic jams could be seen on the highway as a result of this.
The bridge was shut yesterday due to a dangerously high level of water flowing in river Narmada following the massive release of water from the Sardar Sarovar dam.
The danger level at Golden Bridge over river Narmada which connects Bharuch to twin city Ankleshwar is 24 ft. The level yesterday crossed 40 ft mark. DeshGujarat
