Ahmedabad fire dept gets 80 calls in 10 hours on Diwali; No loss of life

Ahmedabad: On the occasion of Diwali, there was a rise in the number of fire incidents reported in the city. The city fire department received around 80 emergency calls in just 10 hours on Diwali day, which was yesterday.
Though there were no reported casualties in any of the fires, in most cases, firecrackers were responsible for starting the blazes. The fires occurred in several homes, godowns, and factories. Around 80 incidents were reported from Sunday 2 PM till midnight. DeshGujarat
